Dear Rainy, 

Lisa, Daniel , the boys, Jess , Vinny  and the girls are having a special family dinner on, Friday night, June 27, to commemorate Daddy's 5th anniversary in heaven, and your birthday.  Everyone is going to share a happy or funny memory of you and Daddy or Ricky.  We will be together again.  Lisa, Dan, Jess and the boys all love you so much.  Happy birthday in Glory my sweet!

Last week God blessed me With a dream of you. It was your first Holy Communion and you were dressed in a long white gown and veil that i made for you, trimmed with lots of lace and love.  You. Had such a joyous smile and looked angelic as you walked back down the aisle after receiving The Lord for the first time.  You were radiant, and healthy and so happy, as this was one year before the effects of the tumor started robbing your body.  

We were in Christ the King Church, and as you passed by and I couldn't see you anymore, I realized that you had been taken into the loving arms of Christ the King!

I thank and praise The Lord for this precious gift, and whenever I think of you now, that is the picture I will remember instead of the last years when you were so sick and debilitated.

Lisa had been looking in Clearwater for a place to live for a long time, but except for one house they almost bought, but that she was not that crazy about, she didn't have any luck.  When Lorraine took a turn for the worse, Lisa left her job and went house hunting in earnest.  After she left us, she kept looking - she wanted to be near me, and closer to Daniel's work.  As she kept searching, the only thing she liked was a townhouse in Clearwater less than 10 minutes from my house.  She saw the pictures online and loved it.  When she was over my house one day, we decided to go take a look at it just from the outside.  As we got closer, I realized it was all too familiar - it was the same neighborhood where Lorraine had lived in the villa she bought!  Then, to our great surprise, it was directly across the street in the same culdesac of Lorraine's house!  

They got the house, although there was stiff competition for it, and as she and her family live there, you can't help but think that Lorraine somehow brought them to it.  When you open the front door, you look directly at Lorraine's front door.  When you in the boys' room, you look out the window at her house, she is watching over them!  In some way, my girls are together again!

I have just sold my house and am buying a townhouse about 5 minutes away.  I have to store 8 rooms of furniture and garage until the new house is ready - should be a few weeks. How I am going to fit this all into a smaller house, I don't know, although I gave a lot of furniture away.  Although I will always miss my Rainy terribly, I will have my baby Lisa and her family close by.  

I thought that I moved to Clearwater as a member of a family of five, now there are only two.  But Lisa reminds me that since we moved we gained more family, Daniel, and all four of my grandchildren.  

How Jimmy loved being a Grandpa - and he was the ultimate Grandpa.  He adored his grandchildren and they him.  Although they still cry when they think of him, or Uncle Ricky or G, they have wonderful memories of them, as do we all.

My Rainy and Lisa and all my Grandchildren always make big deals over birthdays.  It's going to be so hard to celebrate the first birthday without you.  You will be in all our hearts.  Wish I could give you a big hug right now.

Harley is still at his post by the front door waiting for you to come back.
